What is your personal brand?

Personal brand is something I enjoy talking with people about.  I think it is absolutely essential for you to consider.  It's not just for entrepreneurs, but any professional.  Personal brand trumps a company's brand.  Think about any leader that has endured a personal scandal; the company's reputation takes a personal hit as well.  We want to buy from and invest in companies whose leaders serve with integrity, and have earned our trust.

A brand is a promise to deliver on the promises you have made.  It is your values and your competencies.  It is expressed by how you walk and talk, what you wear, who you associate yourself with and how you follow-through on a commitment.  A brand gives you visibility, visibility leads to credibility and credibility offers the chance for you to prove your ability.  With intent and authenticity, your brand will grow organically and flourish in 6 months.

A person will make a judgment about you in 3-5 seconds of meeting you.  What do you want that to be?  Invest in your brand now, before you are famous, and just see what happens!
